Style News! Season's Trends You'll Love!

What's new for you this month?

Recoiling into the safety of well-worn concepts. There is something very comforting about clothes that have an inaudible dominance and assurance. Season's earthy, chunky cardigans paired with blush/nude or pink top and suede bottom in the similar hue.

One of the season's most popular fabrics-salt-dyed cotton- is turning up in seductive or more demure work/ play designs too. Nothing beats a simple T that can be worn with pretty much anything. Moon River T is perfect: round neckline. short sleeves, relaxed silhouette and high-low hem.

The statement skirt by Lulus. You don't have to go full Barbie to wear this trend. Just balance your girly stuff with relaxed, unstructured pieces. Try to have more fun with your clothes and not always wear the uniform.

Always dress to feel like a woman. It doesn't mean you have to wear heels all the time. J.Crew flat sandals can be just as feminine!

Jessica sizzles with old style glamour hair styled by Danika Clevenstine. But the whole look is versatile. The idea here is to be free-almost sloppy-not perfect.

Jessica is wearing: Cardigan: H&M. Top: Moon River (sold out), Skirt: Lulus (available here), Flat sandals J.Crew, Choker: Aqua, Earrings: Neiman Marcus.

This is what I call preppy, hip and sexy!

What kind of jacket should you wear with a snap front mini skirt?

I recommend a short quilted zip front jacket option. All you need now: a fun crop top and hot wedge platform sandals.

On the bottom, wide skirts complement a short, boxy jackets: this front snaps skirt gets an update with an adorable scalloped hem.

Adding texture- in Burberry Brit fall jacket- lifts the look into multiple-compliment territory. To look dapper keep the jewelry accessories minimal. Squared-off flat handbag or clutch should telegraph smart elegance. Low heel mules would be another great option but with a skirt, stick to higher wedge platforms.

For Jamie's make up: Definitely less is more! And our precious model gets away with using very little. Because of her luminous skin, we stick with earthy tones: gold, brown, caramel, bronze.

With each shoot, she just gets prettier.

Don't you agree that these Loewe sunglasses make this look noticeably more interesting? Black and blue make wonderful wardrobe builders; they're easy to mix and match, and they're especially stylish when you stir in a little rusty gold details or a touch of darker metallic blue like the Whistles clutch.

Splurge only on standouts since you'll be using them all season long.

Knock-down, to die-for perfection.

1. Past decades we own.

Silhouettes, fabrics and patterns from 50s and 70s are this season's hit. The devil is all in the details: overexposed zippers, wide belts and flowers.

Touch of 50s and getting stuck in 70s ...

2. Florals- Hot Right Now.

For those Spring and Summer outings it is only appropriate to come out all in floral color.  Classic floral dress is a carefully planned decision, cool and feminine. It needs to keep all proportions and balances in check. If high neck dress- we can go shorter, if neck and cleavage are exposed- dress should fall below the knees. For jewelry we go with oversized, heavy earrings.

Dress: Keepsake (sold out), Earrings: J.Crew, Shoes: Steve Madden

3. Three for Three Steps to clean Face.

Before any make up gets applied or after it is removed I use Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush with 3-Step Skin Care routine: foaming soap, clarifying lotion and moisturizing gel.

4. Cat Eye Running.

Eye Make UP: The cat eye look comes and goes. This is a rather subtle, lighter version and it works really well with darker tops. Love Tom Ford mascara, I use it for all of my eye make up looks.

6. Shout Out to rag&bone Label.

Smart people make beautiful and interesting things. Marcus Wainwright and David Neville's brand rag & bone specializes in genius, unique modern designs.  Thanks to them the brand is one of the most coveted wearable, prestige clothing labels in today's market.  New face of luxury with New York aesthetic. Made by people for people.

But beautifully constructed things are not anonymous, they don't just come out of nowhere. Without any formal fashion training there was an idea, project and passion that lead to creation of an ideal product. In short, these designers utilize a pure craftsmanship of local manufactures and some of the oldest factories in the country. Their brand image has been built on quality and expert skill. Everything is thought through with downtown sensibility and it is impeccably crafted. That's what I call "trendy."

Another way to style rag & bone jeans:

1. Traditional borrowed from menswear styles are getting a fashion makeover this season. Impeccably tailored Page Skyline bootcut jeans and cut from crisp, airy cotton-poplin Equipment shirt are at once feminine and sporty. A modern take on classic boy look? We'll take ours with Topshop bomber jacket and Milly Fringe Satchel.

These Page jeans are amazingly tailored but are designed for really tall women with long legs.

2. Nautical themes are hitting the streets. For a lot of my clients the ultimate stripe top is the new "white T top." The latest must have from Theory- 'Ennayln B' Stripe Scoop Neck Top. Take this top with AG 'The Angelina' Bootcut Jeans and Topshop 'Kindred' Pointy Toe Loafer or into evening with stilettos. Don't forget to wear extreme chic mirror sunglasses by Karen Walker in city-savvy grey color.

The top is designed for longer torso type of body but I loved the quality.

3. Slip a printed sleeveless top over everything from distressed jeans to skinny pants or mini skirt. Milly Brushstroke Print Sleeveless Top is this spring's posh street statement. This sleek, vibrant in wildly beautiful colors tank is a work of art. When the sun goes down pair it with jeans or skinny trousers and heels.  With a stepped cutaway hem, the look is pure "modern abstract tabard." And the finishing touches? Alexis Bittar Crystal-Encrusted Lucite Spear Earrings and Colorblock Crystal Hinge Bracelet.

Coat: MSGM, Top: Milly, Earrings: Alexis Bittar, Sunglasses: Karen Walker, Bracelet: Alexis Bittar, Necklace: Maria Black, similar here, Bag: Milly, Shoes: Casadei, Jeans: Abercrombie & Fitch

4. The latest halter tanks boast runway- ready details, from silk, shoulder-baring ruffled halter tops to floral motifs to sleek original sporty accents.

5. Freedom of Choice:  There isn’t any one look- instead there are always choices, options that invite women to discover their own flair.

Those options include black and white print leggings and lace up high heel shoes, mesh jumper and oversized tweed coat. Accessories match the variety of looks to complement the season’s style directions.  Bracelets: This chic accessory comes in an array of options for spring.

Weekend Dress Code

This week is all about perfect pieces for a weekend in a hot spot like New York City or any trendy suburban neighborhood- from a fashion village bound top and faux fur vest to an ultrafeminine super comfortable pair of jeans and combat boots.

Let's get started with your cozy weekend look. Number one get the color right. The Fall/Winter collection featured a full spectrum of color- from outrageous neons to perfect primaries.  How to wear it?

20-year-olds or younger (like our model Angelica) can happily boast brights- including head-to-toe color and funky kaleidoscopic patterns or bold graphic sweatshirts. They can also experiment with textures and pair different styles like urban/boho or romantic with grunge. Shocking shades work well on 30-year-olds when scaled down to a chic accessory- think a vivid clutch or a pair of stilettos.

Update your wardrobe with pieces like slim pants or jeans that add miles to the leg and sleek, streamlined accessories.

Make a strong statement this season with punk-rock pieces, graphic sweatshirts and prints that pop.

Amazing dramatic eyes and pale lips by Danika Clevenstine.

Play with proportion: Try oversized coats, cardigans and vests.

Christmas Chic and Angelica!

Meet the new model joining our forces at A Fashion Page, her name is Angelica Walejnis and she stands out among her peers. With her compelling beauty she never fails to excite and to impress. Angelica is still in High School but in the near future she sees herself working in fashion merchandising and styling business.

With simple premise and a bit of cool styling we prepared this year's ultimate Christmas outfit!

Enchanting and flawless red! This season is awash in the color and style of Holiday Spirit.

As a stylist I prefer to subtly reinterpret the unwritten rules of Christmas style. Instead of heavy fabrics like velvet or wool, I favor lighter fabrics with lace inserts. My favorite throw-over pieces this season come in the form of oversized drape coats.  Stylish, chic and cool!

Not since the '50s ugly sweater trend has Christmas style been so fashionable. Cocktail mini dresses, pep-toe booties and a mid-length oversized coats are definitely a new way to look at this season's glamour.

Danika Clevenstine, our super talented make-up artist's take on Christmas glamour means it's time for sexy liner, delicate cheeks and sweet lipcolors. A perfect blend of beautiful light, impeccable composition, and a creative touch of photographer John Rounds made this shoot one of the most glamorous moments ever.
