clutch

This is what I call preppy, hip and sexy!

What kind of jacket should you wear with a snap front mini skirt?

I recommend a short quilted zip front jacket option. All you need now: a fun crop top and hot wedge platform sandals.

On the bottom, wide skirts complement a short, boxy jackets: this front snaps skirt gets an update with an adorable scalloped hem.

Adding texture- in Burberry Brit fall jacket- lifts the look into multiple-compliment territory. To look dapper keep the jewelry accessories minimal. Squared-off flat handbag or clutch should telegraph smart elegance. Low heel mules would be another great option but with a skirt, stick to higher wedge platforms.

For Jamie's make up: Definitely less is more! And our precious model gets away with using very little. Because of her luminous skin, we stick with earthy tones: gold, brown, caramel, bronze.

With each shoot, she just gets prettier.

Don't you agree that these Loewe sunglasses make this look noticeably more interesting? Black and blue make wonderful wardrobe builders; they're easy to mix and match, and they're especially stylish when you stir in a little rusty gold details or a touch of darker metallic blue like the Whistles clutch.

Splurge only on standouts since you'll be using them all season long.

Short Story For Every Woman!

A chic jean jacket is the mini's perfect partner.

End of Summer's higher-than-ever hemlines are the new fashion favorites for the girl who's on the go. When going super short, replace the mile-high stiletto with chic flats- there are plenty to choose from this season.

This is also a perfect season to start your private collection of bracelets, bangles and cuffs.

Your everyday bag-downsized to a perfectly portable purse or clutch-in wear-with-everything neutral.

For the next few weeks you can still pair your gladiator natural leather sandals with skinny pants or a casual mini skirt like the one Jamie is wearing on the photos.

On the weekends, keep it simple and sporty with basic tees, knits and denim jackets. With a sexy mini at night, a looser top will keep the proportions right.

It's a very body-conscious look, yet the mini skirt can be very flattering. Making it work depends on color- prints can be a really great choice- and other elements of your outfit.

Jamie is wearing: Jacket: H&M, sold out (love this one too) Sandals: American Eagle (love these ones too), Clutch: Calvin Klein, Tank: Apartment 9 (love this one too), Skirt: Casey Tribal Print, Sunglasses: Steve Madden, Bracelet: handmade, Earrings: Kenneth Jay

THE MINI

The skirt of the season has reached new heights- and whether it's scandalously skintight, flouncy and flirty, or slim and sophisticated, there's a suitable style for everyone.

HOW TO WEAR IT IN YOUR 20S

TOP: MAURICES, COAT: ARTIZIA, SKIRT: MANGO, SHOES: SHOPAKIRA, BAG: DIANE VON FRUSTENBERG, NECKLACE: ECLETCTICA VINTAGE, BANGLES: MONKI, WRAP BRACELET: MCQ, SUNGLASSES: LINDA FARROW

Keep the concept of mini relative: In your 20s, a traffic-stopping suede mini, graphic tank top and easy silhouette Italian wool coat are perfect for brave fashion followers. Bold but totally acceptable. Just remember you must feel comfortable with the length. If you feel as if you're baring too much, then most likely you are.

Those in their 30s can still go short-short- depending on whether it's for day, night, work, or weekend. The shorter the skirt, the lower the heel.

HOW TO WEAR IT IN YOUR 40S

Okay in your 40s you are most likely thinking an inch or two above the knee but on rare occasions it is absolutely allowed, especially to those who do not want to hide their legs just yet, to put on a flirty, textured mini and kitten heels to dress it up a bit. Especially when there is no cleavage involved, and the blouse is not fitted. Sexy and elegant.

HOW TO WEAR IT IN YOUR 50S

In your 50s you can pair pumps or heeled sandals with just-above-the knee skirt for a more sophisticated look. Obviously you don't always have to look like a librarian but it is a very flattering look. If you wear loafers or flat shoes you can easily rise your hemline an inch or two above your knees.

HOW TO WEAR IT IN YOUR 60S

In their 60s+ it is safe to say women should stick to clean and simple just above the knee skirts in a conservative solid color or black and white patterns, but I am also a fan of dark florals and tweed pastels. I find that mature women who do go for brighter colors and busier patterns are fearless fashionistas no matter what age.

HOW TO WEAR IT If YOU ARE CURVY

SHORT SLEEVE SWEATER: MBJ, JACKET: RIVER ISLAND, SKIRT: ROMWE, SANDALS: DSQUARED2, BAG: TOM FORD, EARRINGS: SONOMA LIFE, LEATHER BRACELET: MANGO, RED BRACELET: VINTAGE, SUEDE BRACELET: GREENBEANS BY EMILY & ASHLEY, LEATHER GLOVES: VALENTINO, HEAD WRAP: CARA, SUNGLASSES: ILLESTEVEA

For the more curvy and top-heavy, a bright-colored or single breasted in beige or cream color skirt with a neutral or black shirt creates the proper balance

HOW TO WEAR IT If YOU ARE BOTTOM-HEAVY

CARDIGAN: ROMWE, SHIRT: R13, SKIRT: NEW LOOK, BOOTIES: GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI, WRISTLET: VERA BRADELY, EARRINGS: CHANEL, BANGLE: NEW LOOK, HAT: MICHAEL STARS, SUNGLASSES: VINCE CAMUTO

A fuller-figured woman, especially if she is bottom-heavy, should wear a more A-line skirt and pair it with a simple top, like a button-down shirt or blouse, keeping the colors dark for slimmer silhouette.

HOW TO WEAR IT If YOU ARE SLIM-HIPPED

SHIRT: KARL LAGERFELD, COAT: GANT, SKIRT: CHLOE, BOOTS: JEFFREY CAMPELL, BAG: MICHAEL BY MICHAEL KORS, EARRINGS: ACCESSORIZE, BANGLE: ARMENTA

A slim-hipped woman should pick a mini with a bit of a flair and pair it with a wispy top, nipped in slightly at the waist to create curves.

Hot Neon Yellow. Popular Now: Oversized Cardigans with Floral Lace Bodice Dress and More Spring Trends!

This is the second look from the photo shoot that took place back in March (coldest day of that month, hence the scarf and sweater cape). Once again as an added bonus you get to look at some amazing photography shot by John Rounds.

The shoes by Jessica Simpson will make your legs look impossibly long and are incredibly comfortable.

Last time I forgot to mention that we shot these posts at the Lehigh University. Located in Bethlehem, PA and established in 1865 it is one of the most beautiful college campuses in Pennsylvania.

I am wearing my favorite accessories of the moment the Prada sunglasses and Rebecca Minkoff’s quilted, leather bag.

Looking flawless is the first thing that every girl wants and thanks to Danika Clevenstine this is exactly how I felt about my make-up.

POPULAR NOW

The oversized cardigans and sweaters made news on the fall runways but they can easily take you seamlessly between seasons in style. Popular way to wear them is with Spring-inspired floral, lace bodice dresses that reflect the loveliness of this season.

This satin and suede triple strap sandal in one of the Spring’s hottest hues, fandango pink, is definitely summer and spring appropriate. Popular way to wear the ankle strap sandals is with rolled up high boyfriend jeans, which are an any-season style staple.

A roomy leather tote bag will be the hot handbag style in the months ahead. Popular way to wear is with edgy crepe flower print trousers. This is a great low-maintenance look for vacation, totally stress-free sexy style.

Super skinny jeans are the ultimate spring wear. They’ll keep you looking and feeling cool all season long. Popular way to wear them is with neon high heel sandals. It is a fresh and unexpected way to spice up your look.

This look is smart and casual, the new spring trend for everybody. Flared skirts look great on pretty much everyone. Popular way to wear them is with sexy oversized leather clutches. It is a super glamorous chic with a polished modern attitude style.

Black Essentials

The Look: A.L.C FW 2014 Ready to Wear Collection. Coat: A.L.C, Eyewear: Ray-Ban, Turtleneck: A.L.C, Scarf: GPBlue, Pants: A.L.C, Bag: A.L.C, Shoes: Derek Lam 10 Crosby.

The weather outside’s been frightful already! When pallor overtakes radiance, I turn to black parkas or black A.L.C trench coat.  A little shine on the face can be really healthy; here we have shiny Ray-Ban original aviator sunglasses that will brighten your brow bones.  With a glow like this no blush, or bold lip color is necessary instead you can wrap your neck with blue and striped GP Blue knit scarf.  And since one of the best colors for fall is black- black A.L.C turtleneck sweater and A.L.C Terry side snap pants are perfectly appropriate.  To complete our A.L.C F/W 2014 Ready To Wear collection inspired look, I would wear A.L.C clutch in grey and Derek Lam 10 Crosby ankle boots, which are simply glamorous

Another look with black parka, turtleneck and black trousers.

What's Really Cool?

Shirt: Faherty, Sweater: Marc Jacobs, Necklace: Zara, Jacket: Paige Denim, Clutch: Diane Von Furstenberg, Boots: Aquazzura, Jeans: Lovers + Friends

Being cool to me means being completely at ease with yourself and wearing clothes that are simple, sexy and bring out your natural beauty.   Color relaxes me, the bolder it is the more comfortable I feel.  Marc Jacob’s Sweater in super bright orange is simply spectacular and if you’d like to play it safe, you can wear Faherty season’s workshirt underneath it. Lovers+Friends Jeremy high-waisted boyfriend jeans are exactly the kind of jeans that women want; super trendy, extremely comfortable and practical. Clutches like this Diane Von Furstenberg Lace clutch are all over the place now, and they are such a return to womanly dressing: they instantly make you feel sexy and will work with any outfit. Aquazurra Jagger Fringe Boots are sexy power boots that will work really well with any jeans or leggings.  And this brilliant Paige Denim Vermont jacket is a superb take on a sexy casual wear.  It is also very refreshing to see women wearing feel good jewelry like this magical Zara Simon Chalcedony Pendant Necklace.  Definitely great weekend getaway outfit, or something you can wear during one-day break between your hectic schedules.
