Winter

Brilliant Rompers

Scarf:ASOS (old), Blazer: ZofiaDesigns, Necklaces: Anthropologie, Romper: Tabeez, Belt:Express, Tights: Ellen Tracy, Shoes: Rylko, Ring: H&M, Sweater Coat: H&M, Bag: H&M

With your flowery rompers that you wore all summer and want to continue wearing them in the winter, the difference between gutsy glamour and Jerry Springer-guest tacky comes down to....hmm... I guess just the right attitude.

If you are not afraid of color layering, emerald green and cobalt blue can take on a new sophistication.

To tone this outfit down I kept my outwear simple so all of the focus is on the romper.

If still not convinced that wearing rompers in winter can be a lot of fun, here are few other ways you can take what seems dramatic and tone it down. (of course going to the bathroom is a bit challenging but there is nothing in this world that will stop a true Fashionista)

Winter Forward

This season's wardrobe (like nautical theme tops and khaki or pencil skirts) looks, and feels, good.

Hat: Alice+Olivia, Sweater: Alice+Olivia, Necklace: Elizabeth Cole, Briefcase: Hearfest, Coat: Moncler, Boots: Aquatalia by Marvin K, Tights: Hue, Skirt: Alexis Mabille, Shirt: Alexandre Vauthier

The pendulum swings back again every winter: Hemlines go down, necklines go up. Pants get warmer and sweaters get thicker. And yet a new color takes its turn at being professed the new black (in the case of this season, black itself.) Fashion's inconsistent taste also applies to accessories- the trick is being able to distinct the truly outstanding ones from those that are just acceptable.  Distinctive trends that have recently emerged: bold purple, burgundy lipstick, slouchy beanie hats, elegant yet edgy chunky necklaces, and soft suede tall boots. Black, white, beige and explosions of red are all positive, glowing colors, especially when combined together. I am always craving anything and everything uplifting, but there's actually a far better reason to try this look: It is just plain pretty.

I am wearing: Beanie Hat: Urban Outfitters, Shirt: Forever21, Sweater: Expreess, Necklace: Vallour, Skirt: H&M, Thights: HUE, Boots: Lucky Penny at Anthropologie

These looks features more earthy tones that work on virtually anyone.

Wild One

Winter dark days are still ahead of us but many women out there embrace it with colors, prints. bold jewelry statements and mini leather skirts.  This is my interpretation of this brand new elegance and effortlessness.

Bag:DVF, Vest: Zara, Cardigan: H&M, Blouse: H&M, Necklace: H&M, Bracelet: Palm Beach, Skirt: IRO, Tights: Hue, Boots: Forever 21, Sunglasses: H&M

There is something appealing and almost irresistible about the "cheap," big, statement necklaces. I just love wearing them with collar, button down blouses and skin tight dresses.  Below is another look that features great oversize necklace by Sam Edelman and super comfortable vest by Stella+Lorenzo.

Necklace: Sam Edelman, Vest: Stella+Lorenzo, Sunglasses: Saint Laurent, Blouse: Spell, Skirt: Sally La Pointe, Bag: Sanctuary, Watch: Shinola, Boots: Raport.

Even the most dramatic looks can still be cozy and have a comfy appeal. In the look below featured are super funky but still girlie Stella McCartney sunglasses that I absolutely adore, cropped, leopard printed Dolce & Gabbana top and an amazing Sam Edelman faux fur vest.

Sunglasses: Stella McCartney, Top: Dolce & Gabbana, Vest: Sam Edelman, Necklace: Jewel Box Station, Bag: Marc by Marc Jackobs, Bracelet: Anndra Neen, Skirt: Adam Lippes, Boots: AKIRA

Another  "I am woman attitude" look.
