A chic jean jacket is the mini's perfect partner.
End of Summer's higher-than-ever hemlines are the new fashion favorites for the girl who's on the go. When going super short, replace the mile-high stiletto with chic flats- there are plenty to choose from this season.
This is also a perfect season to start your private collection of bracelets, bangles and cuffs.
Your everyday bag-downsized to a perfectly portable purse or clutch-in wear-with-everything neutral.
For the next few weeks you can still pair your gladiator natural leather sandals with skinny pants or a casual mini skirt like the one Jamie is wearing on the photos.
On the weekends, keep it simple and sporty with basic tees, knits and denim jackets. With a sexy mini at night, a looser top will keep the proportions right.
It's a very body-conscious look, yet the mini skirt can be very flattering. Making it work depends on color- prints can be a really great choice- and other elements of your outfit.

The skirt of the season has reached new heights- and whether it's scandalously skintight, flouncy and flirty, or slim and sophisticated, there's a suitable style for everyone.
HOW TO WEAR IT IN YOUR 20S
Keep the concept of mini relative: In your 20s, a traffic-stopping suede mini, graphic tank top and easy silhouette Italian wool coat are perfect for brave fashion followers. Bold but totally acceptable. Just remember you must feel comfortable with the length. If you feel as if you're baring too much, then most likely you are.

HOW TO WEAR IT IN YOUR 30S
Those in their 30s can still go short-short- depending on whether it's for day, night, work, or weekend. The shorter the skirt, the lower the heel.
HOW TO WEAR IT IN YOUR 40S
Okay in your 40s you are most likely thinking an inch or two above the knee but on rare occasions it is absolutely allowed, especially to those who do not want to hide their legs just yet, to put on a flirty, textured mini and kitten heels to dress it up a bit. Especially when there is no cleavage involved, and the blouse is not fitted. Sexy and elegant.
HOW TO WEAR IT IN YOUR 50S
In your 50s you can pair pumps or heeled sandals with just-above-the knee skirt for a more sophisticated look. Obviously you don't always have to look like a librarian but it is a very flattering look. If you wear loafers or flat shoes you can easily rise your hemline an inch or two above your knees.
HOW TO WEAR IT IN YOUR 60S
In their 60s+ it is safe to say women should stick to clean and simple just above the knee skirts in a conservative solid color or black and white patterns, but I am also a fan of dark florals and tweed pastels. I find that mature women who do go for brighter colors and busier patterns are fearless fashionistas no matter what age.
HOW TO WEAR IT If YOU ARE CURVY
For the more curvy and top-heavy, a bright-colored or single breasted in beige or cream color skirt with a neutral or black shirt creates the proper balance
HOW TO WEAR IT If YOU ARE BOTTOM-HEAVY
A fuller-figured woman, especially if she is bottom-heavy, should wear a more A-line skirt and pair it with a simple top, like a button-down shirt or blouse, keeping the colors dark for slimmer silhouette.
HOW TO WEAR IT If YOU ARE SLIM-HIPPED
A slim-hipped woman should pick a mini with a bit of a flair and pair it with a wispy top, nipped in slightly at the waist to create curves.
